Gary J. Solomon, CPA

Gary joined Moore Stephens Tiller as a member in December of 2006. Prior to joining the Firm, he was a member with the firm of Adams, Howard & Banks, P.C., which he had been with since 1978 after graduating from Georgia State University with a BBA degree in accounting, as well as a BS degree in journalism.

He brings knowledge and expertise in the areas of nonprofit accounting and auditing, including single audits of nonprofits that receive funds from the Federal Government. He also has experience in the audits of small businesses, including automobile dealerships. In addition to audit work, Gary has an understanding of individual, corporate and partnership related tax issues. The majority of Gary’s clients consist of numerous religious organizations, alumni and athletic associations (this includes performing NCAA Compliance Audits), organizations for the developmentally disabled, as well as numerous other nonprofit organizations.

Gary is a native Atlantan and outside of work, he currently or has been involved in several organizations. In the past, he has served as President of the Cedar Club of Atlanta, Inc., and currently serves as the Treasurer; he has also been a member of the Cobb County Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Georgia Society of Association Executives; he has also been a part-time accounting instructor at Georgia State University. He is currently a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, as well as a member of the Georgia Society of CPA's.

Gary’s outside interests include tennis and reading.
