Ben specializes in providing tax, auditing and consulting services to numerous individuals and entities in Georgia and Texas, as well as litigation support to attorneys on auditing, tax and divorce cases throughout the United States.

Ben has been an AICPA Faculty Instructor and GSCPA Instructor providing training in auditing. He has also been a guest speaker at many seminars and conventions throughout the nation.  In the past, Ben has been a private consultant for the Governmental Training Division within the Carl Vinson Institute of Government at the University of Georgia and Georgia Department of Community Affairs concerning Georgia’s Regional Development Centers. Ben is noted for holding the Certificate of Achievement in Governmental Accounting and Auditing from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and being the author of the Uniform Accounting and Financial Management Manual for Georgia’s Regional Development Centers.

Ben has served on the advisory committee for the development of the “Uniform Chart of Accounts” for Georgia’s Local Governments. He currently is a member of the Assurance Services Section and serves on the Executive Committee of the Assurance Services Section of the Georgia Society of CPAs.   He is a member of the AICPA, GSCPA, GFOA, AGA, ACFE and GGFOA.

Ben is just as involved within the community, as he attends the Wesley United Methodist Church on St. Simons Island.  He serves as a member of the Bainbridge College Board of Trustees; Troy State University Alumni Association; University of Alabama Alumni Association and Brunswick Rotary Club.

Prior to joining Moore Stephens Tiller, Ben was President of two accounting firms, Ben Lee & Associates, Inc. and Richter & Lee, P. C., CPAs with offices in Bainbridge and Cairo, Georgia. Ben has a bachelor’s degree from Troy University and more than 34 years of tax, auditing and consulting experience.
