Marcus joined the Firm in 1982 after graduating from Valdosta State University with a BBA. In 1990, he was admitted to membership in the firm and over the years served as Member (Partner) In-Charge of the firm’s Atlanta Office and Director of the firm’s Assurance Services. Marcus was elected to serve as Managing Member (Partner) in October 2009.

In addition to his firm management responsibilities, Marcus provides assurance and advisory services to a number of the firm’s investment partnership, venture capital and distribution clients. He also serves as a quality reviewer and technical advisor for the firm’s Assurance Services practice.

Marcus has been an active participant in a number of community and professional organizations. He has served on the board of directors of Orchestra Atlanta, the Georgia Society of CPAs, the North Fulton Chamber of Commerce, the Sandy Springs Rotary Club, the Atlanta Entrepreneur Institute; as president of the North Perimeter Chapter of the Georgia Society of CPAs; and as Chairman of the Moore Stephens North America Audit Committee.
